The Winter Fox

The Winter Fox is a beautifully illustrated, wordless picture book that invites children to become the storytellers. In a quiet winter forest, a curious fox and a bright red cardinal discover a hat blown high into a tree. Together, they carry it through snowy woods, passing different animal groups and mysterious scenes that spark endless possibilities.

When they reach a village, the fox is startled by a small boy building a snowman — and the hat finds its way to a new home. The final page shows a grown man reaching for a hat caught in a tree, leaving readers to wonder: Is he the boy all grown up? Has he been searching for his hat all along? Or is this a new story waiting to begin?

This intentionally ambiguous, open‑ended book encourages children to:

• Build early reading and narration skills
• Practice sequencing and storytelling
• Explore imagination and interpretation
• Create new stories every time they read

Perfect for classrooms, bedtime creativity, and cozy winter reading, The Winter Fox becomes a different book with every child who opens it.
